NTUC Training Fund (SEPs)
A total of $88 million will now be available to support our SEPs to go for training. Leveraging the Government's SEP Training Support Scheme and co-funded by the Government and NTUC, SEPs can now earn as they train. This total fund comprises the Government's $84 million SEP Training Support Scheme and a $4 million top up from the NTUC Training

As announced by Manpower Minister Josephine Teo at Budget 2020, from 1-30 April 2020, the SEP Support Scheme will provide SEPs with a training allowance of $7.50/hr when they attend courses under the SkillsFuture series, as well as sector-specific training programmes.
With NTUC's top-up, SEPs who are existing union members get an additional $1/hr on top of the $7.50/hr when they go for training. New union members who sign up after 1 March 2020 will get an additional $0.50/hr to the $7.50/hr amount.
Update 26 March 2020: From 1 May 2020, the Government will bring up the hourly training allowance from $7.50/hr of training to $10/hr of training.
